Ardal O'Hanlon

Ardal O'Hanlon

"ARDAL O'HANLON appearing as 'himself' will be a revelation. If you've only seen him in his television role as wide-eyed eejit 'Father Dougal' don't miss his stand up performance. Watch him turn innocence into a deadly comic weapon"
The Sunday Times

This autumn the star of 'FATHER TED' and 'MY HERO'ARDAL O'HANLON returns to his stand-up roots for his fourth UK tour. Turning 40 this year with ants in his pants, he laments his lost youth and searches for meaning in his life. With wide-eyed wonder, surreal flights of fancy, and robust observations on the follies of man, this is ARDAL's giddiest and most personal show to date.

British Comedy Award winner, ARDAL has spellbound audiences around the world from Australia to Zambia with his powerfully original material. A regular at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, he recently performed a half-hour 'special' for American television and was the featured guest on BBC's 'JACK DEE LIVE AT THE APOLLO'.

However, O'HANLON is perhaps better known for the role of Father Dougal Maguire in Channel 4's BAFTA winning series 'FATHER TED'.

"His comedy innocence and natural born acting ability is well worthy of the genius of James Stewart"
The Independent

Other acclaimed TV roles include lovable George Sunday/Thermoman in the popular BBC sitcom 'MY HERO', Eamon in ITV's 'BIG BAD WORLD' and the title role of Robbie in the Comic Relief animation 'ROBBIE THE REINDEER'. He will be seen later this year in BEN ELTON's new sitcom for the BBC, ' The Stockholm Syndrome'.

"He is a complete joy to watch, planting the sort of silly images that bump around in your head forever."
The Guardian

"If you love comedy and smart talking - and only go to see one comedy show, make it O'Hanlon"
The Daily Telegraph
