The Dog-Eared Collective theatre company are serving up their vibrant brand of off-the-wall comedy in new show The Bi-Annual Barbecue and other stories.
The company invite press to come and review the show, as The Bi-Annual Barbecue and other stories has already achieved sell-out audiences at the new Carriageworks theatre in Leeds and The Rosemary Branch theatre in Islington.
The company’s sketch based theatre is packed with wildly eccentric characters and farcical word play.
“Unashamedly whimsical, silly and surreal, very much in the vein of television’s The Mighty Boosh.” CAMDEN NEW JOURNAL
“Exhilarating anarchy” ISLINGTON TRIBUNE
“Genuinely funny” BBC MANCHESTER
Set on the fictional island of Sea-Goat The Bi-Annual Barbecue and other stories is a bizarre comedy that charts one widow’s quest to hold a village barbecue in the face of crippling adversity. With a mixture of farce, sitcom, slapstick and stand-up, the performers bring to life the island’s peculiar communities. Poachers, Gypsies, Mariners and Morris men all become comically embroiled in the madness that ensues.
